Celebrating 70 Years and Still Going Strong!

Members and friends of the Maine Lobstermen's Association (MLA) gathered for a festive evening on November 2 to celebrate the organization's 70th year. The evening at SaltWater Fields Wedding & Event Barn in South Thomaston featured food, drinks, music and camaraderie. Senator Angus King, Representative Chellie Pingree, Representative Jared Golden, and Governor Janet Mills each spoke about the importance of the MLA over the years and its significant contributions to the vitality of the Maine lobster industry. MLA President Kristan Porter thanked the many businesses, communities and individuals who have provided so much support during the MLA's tenure, particularly during the past four years.
