Claws for a Cause: a program to preserve Maine's lobstering heritage.
Claws for a Cause: a program to preserve Maine’s lobstering heritage.

The MLCA is developing a partnership with the business community through its Claws for a Cause program to educate the public about the sustainable and non-harmful fishing practices of the Maine lobster industry. The MLCA has developed educational materials including a poster and table tent card presenting facts about the heritage and sustainable fishing practices of the Maine lobster fishery. Participating businesses post these materials and then donate funds to support the MLCA’s chartable programs. To learn more about Claws for a Cause and how to participate, please contact Antonina “Andi” Pelletier, andi@mainelobstermen.org.

Charity Nights

In 2017 MLCA  held charity nights at various restaurants around Maine. People were encouraged to bring  friends, family and anyone you can drag off the street to eat some delicious pizza AND give to the MLCA at the same time. Due to the generosity of these restaurants, a portion of all pizza sold, take out or dine-in is donated to the MLCA’s Claws for a Cause. Join us!
